West Nile Virus Now in 4 Counties In Illinois

The West Nile Virus is now being reported in four Illinois counties this year. The Illinois Department of Public Health says that includes Cook, LaSalle, Morgan and St. Clair counties. Last year, 44 counties in Illinois reported a West Nile virus-positive mosquito batch, bird, horse, and/or human case. So far, there have been no human cases in the state in 2023.
