Area courthouses, state offices, and federal offices are closed for Juneteenth on Monday. Many banks will also be closed for the holiday. The WFIW Newsroom has confirmed however that Fairfield City Hall will be open on Monday. If you have a question on whether a business will be open or not for the Juneteenth Holiday, you are asked to call ahead before visiting. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery that took place on June 19th of 1865.
