Wayne County Holds Sheriff’s Sale for Foreclosures Friday

Wayne County Held a Sheriff’s Sale at the Courthouse for foreclosed properties on Friday Afternoon. During that sale, 2 foreclosed properties were sold at the sale.

The first was a home located at 623 County Road 1840 East in Fairfield that belonged to the Norval D. Smith Trust. A default on the property was issued in February and a foreclosure hearing took place on June 5th with a continuance on the foreclosure filed. According to court documents, a judgment was issued in the amount of $105,624.82 in favor of the mortgage provider, rocket mortgage. The issuance of the original mortgage on the property dates back to November 2017.

The 2nd item sold in the sheriff’s sale was land that was previously owned by Jackie Meyers of Evansville. According to court documents, the mortgage provider, US Bank filed for foreclosure on the property on December 21st of 22. The property is located at 308 Southwest 7th Street in Fairfield. The judgment in Wayne County Court on the matter was for $34,992.36.
