The FCHS Board met for their regular monthly meeting Thursday evening with a full agenda.
The board unanimously voted to hire Andy Julian as the new FCHS Superintendent. (More in a separate story)
After a Budget Hearing, the board unanimously approved the 2023-2024 Budget.
Superintendent Fulkerson reported:
Several FFA members attended the state convention last week.
FCHS athletes are busy with summer workouts and camps.
The work on the gym lobby is in full swing with demolition, plumbing, and electrical contractors on scene.
Fall Registration will be July 25 & 26, with online registration also available.
In new business:
Fees for the 2023-24 school year were approved
- Textbook fee $25.00
- Technology fee $50.00
- Drivers Education fee $50.00
- Student Parking fee $25.00 asphalt lot, $15.00 gravel lot
The board accepted the resignation of Holton Standiford as Boys Tennis Coach.
Held the first reading of the FCHS Staff Handbook.
After an Executive Session, the board approved the following action:
- 4% pay increase for non-certified employees
- Hired Jade Brooks as a special education one on one aide.
- Hired Kelsey St. Ledger as Scholastic Society sponsor.
- Hired Bailey McMeen as an Assistant Cheer Coach.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a plaque was presented to outgoing Superintendent Jill Fulkerson for her years of service to FCHS.
