This morning is showing that it is already a wacky weather morning as there are several weather things in place currently.
A Heat Advisory is in place for Marion, Jefferson, Franklin, Wayne, Edwards, Wabash, While, Hamilton, Gallatin, and Saline Counties thru this evening.
Finally, an Air Quality Alert is in place due to all of the haze from the Canadian Wild Fires in the area until 7 this evening. Illinois EPA Officials say that the air is sensitive for anyone outside.
On the storm front, the National Weather Service says that there is an enhanced risk of severe weather for the entire WFIW and WOKZ listening Area. Weather Service Officials say there are a couple of windows for potential severe weather today as a complex of thunderstorms will move thru this morning and another round into this afternoon and evening. Estimates show a round between 9 AM and 1 PM as well as a round between 5 and 10 pm. Storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, large hail, and brief heavy rainfall.
