Reports out of Franklin County say a three year old toddler has been found dead after a lengthy search on Saturday.
According to media reports and information from the West Frankfort Police department, they received a call that the three year old was missing from his home in West Frankfort just before 1 p.m. Saturday. Police spoke with the boy’s parents and began a search of the area.
About 90 minutes later, authorities reported finding the toddler inside a swimming pool at a neighbor’s house. The toddler was unresponsive and emergency personnel performed CPR. The boy was later taken to Franklin Hospital in Benton, IL and pronounced dead.
