Janice Lea Sigwerth, age 82 and a resident of McLeansboro, IL, passed away at 2:15 a.m. Friday, July 28, 2023 at McLeansboro Health Care & Rehabilitation Center, McLeansboro, IL.
Janice was born December 10, 1940 to Franklin and Helen (Harrison) Mitchell in McLeansboro, IL. She was employed as a Business Office Manager at Nature Trail Nursing Home, Mt.Vernon, IL; a Deputy Township Assessor; a Deputy County Treasurer for Hamilton County and was a Hostess at the Ramada Inn of Mt.Vernon.
She married N.J. Sigwerth on November 20, 1987 in Mt. Vernon, IL; he preceded her in death
in 1997. Janice was a member of First Baptist Church, McLeansboro, IL
Survivors include Daughters: Julie McGovern of Johnston City, IL; Kimberly Murk
and husband Tom of McLeansboro, IL and Lorrie Karcher and husband Scott, Dahlgren, IL.
Grandchildren: Abbi Buchanan (husband Ryan), Wayne City, IL; April Grammer (husband Jim)
