Billie Lou Reynolds went home to Jesus on Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 8:35 a.m. at her home in Wayne City, IL.  She was surrounded by close, loving family.

Billie Lou was born on March 13, 1955 in Fairfield, IL and lived in Bugerville until moving to Tucson, AZ at an early age where she was preceded in death by her mother Helen Fry.  Billie Lou moved back to Illinois in the early 1980’s.  On June 12, 1987 she married James Reynolds, who survives.

Billie Lou was retired from the Wayne City School, where she had worked as a janitor  and was the former animal control warden for Wayne and White counties.  She enjoyed dragons, wolves, and gnomes.  She loved going to different little out-of-the-way shops.  She crocheted blankets for her family and made sure everyone was taken care of.  Her love of animals was known far and wide.  She will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents Walter & Lucille (Fry) Denney, and a brother Denney Lee Gash.

In accordance with Billie Lou’s wishes, she will be cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.  Online condolences, memories, and words of encouragement may be shared at www.youngfuneralhomellc.com.
