Connie Sue Lister, 58, Bluford

Connie Sue Lister, 58, of Bluford, Illinois, passed away at 11:16 pm August 3, 2023 at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was born January 20, 1965 in Mount Gilead, Ohio to the late Neil and Patricia Ann (Ransom) Wyatt. Connie married Glen Ray Lister, Jr. on January 26, 2005 and they have spent thirty-seven years together.

In addition to her beloved husband, Connie is survived by her sons, Terry Wyatt, Jason Wyatt and wife, Brittany, Jeffery Lister and wife, Sheena, Cody Lister and wife, Amber; grandchildren, Brayson, Leah, Kasen, Draysen, Korbin, Kamden, Wyatt, Erin; siblings, Deborah Steele and husband, Reginald, Renae Mayhall and husband, Randy, Della Bette and husband, Raymond, Margert “Beth” Wyatt, known by Connie as Maggie Lou, Eddie Wyatt and wife, Kelly, and Debbie Tibbs and husband, Butch; several nieces and nephews; special nephew, Billy McGrady and life partner, Jennifer Scott and their son, Bailey McGrady; parents-in-law, Mable and Gary Bullard; siblings-in-law, Marvin Lister and wife, Ellen, Gena Swank and husband, Mark, and Brandon Bullard and wife, Amanda; and fur babies, Sasha, Tinkerbell, Scrappy, Socks, Abby Jo, and Jaken.

In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her siblings, Linda Lou Sailor, Virginia Ann Sailor, and Terry Ellis Wyatt and father-in-law, Glen R. Lister, Sr.

Connie worked as a CNA for many years and later was a bus monitor for Durham Bus Company. She enjoyed growing roses in her garden. Connie loved her boys dearly and enjoyed going to dirt track races and concerts with them. She loved babysitting her grandchildren and spending time with them as well. Connie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Orchardville Church in Orchardville, Illinois. A Funeral Service begins at 6:00 pm with Pastor Rick Hays officiating. Memorials may be made in Connie’s honor to the Lister Family in care of Glen Lister. Hughey Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
