93 year old Fairfield resident, Gladys Irene Shreve passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at the Skilled Care Unit at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
Gladys was born in Wayne County on March 21, 1930 to Robert and Rella (Maulding) Musgrave.
Gladys married Ruben Shreve on December 21, 1947 in Wayne City and they had enjoyed over 73 years together before his passing. Gladys worked at the Wayne City Dress Factory and later at the garment factories in Fairfield, Albion and Mt. Carmel.
Gladys leaves wonderful memories to be cherished by her children, Richard (Robin) Shreve of Fairfield and Deborah (Michael) Hall of Plainfield, Indiana, and Daughter-in-Law Terri Shreve of Fairfield. Brother Robert Musgrave Owensboro, Kentucky
Eight Grandchildren Amy McNeil, Wayne Shreve, Kelli Locey, Mark Shreve, Addison Smith, Shaelyn Shell,
and Ryan Hall. Eighteen Great- Grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, son- Randall, Daughter- Diana Lynn, Grandson Scott.
Funeral Services for Gladys Shreve will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Archie L. Sanders Memorial Chapel in Wayne City, with a visitation to be held from noon to service time on Sunday. Burial will follow in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City.
