In a special meeting Tuesday in West Salem, the West Salem Board voted to relieve village clerk, Felicia Moultry of her duties.
According to village officials, the reason was for failure to keep the Mayor informed on the village’s representation before the Illinois Public Access Counselor.
The village board during the special session named Kelli Higgins to serve as the temporary village clerk until the Mayor can appoint a new clerk and the village board approves the appointment.
