The US Geologic Survey has announced that there was an earthquake in the West Salem area early Sunday Morning. The quake happened 5.59 miles northeast of West Salem with a magnitude of 2.5 of the Richter scale. The quake was just over 13 miles deep.
That quake coincides with recent seismic activity in the area.
