Wine lovers are reminded it’s time for the annual Wine and Art Festival at Rend Lake. The annual event will be held this Saturday and Sunday and will feature 11 different Southern Illinois Wineries. There will be live music on both days, plus food and shopping. Event organizers say there is a $10 admission per person and that will require cash. The admission includes a complimentary wine glass and tasting armband for those 21 years old and older. Organizers say while admission must be paid in cash, many of the vendors will accept credit cards, but others will be asking for cash only. Saturday hours are 11 to 6, while entry gates open at noon on Sunday. Organizers say the event is set to wrap up around 5 Sunday afternoon.
