Media reports and White County Coroner Chris Marsh indicated a body was found in a shed in Carmi this past Wednesday night. Marsh said police got a call just before 7 p.m. Wednesday of a body found in a shed behind the Stewart Street Apartment Complex. Marsh indicated the body was badly decomposed and guessed it had been there for around two months. Marsh said kids running out of the woods led authorities to discover the body.
An autopsy was scheduled for Friday. Carmi police and the White County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
