Homecoming 2023 concluded on Saturday in Fairfield in front of a packed house at Train Yard.
At halftime of the game, the Homecoming Queen and King Crowning took place. This year’ Queen is Alani Buchanan with the King named Vega Stanley.
Alanı Buchanan is the daughter of Cheryl and Zach Buchanan. Vega Stanley is the son of Jeff Kelley Stanley as well as Kyle and Kyle Reel.
Other candidates for Queen included Baylee Biggs, daughter of Jeff and Roberta Biggs and Rylee Edwards, daughter of Jill Edwards and the late Gregg Edwards. Other candidates for King included Jay Snyder, son of Chet and Misty Snyder, and Creson White, Son of Rich White and Sara and Jay Schnepper
In the game action, Fairfield outplayed Christopher-Ziegler-Royalton 58-14, keeping their playoff hopes alive and upping their record to 3-4 on the season.
