ILCC Adopts Rule Regulating Placement of Co-Branded Alcoholic Beverages

The Illinois Liquor Control Commission is adopting a new permanent rule designed to prevent consumer confusion between alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The rule regulates the placement of co-branded alcoholic beverages on retail sales floors. It aims to protect the public from being unable to distinguish between alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages with similar branding and to prevent the marketing of such alcoholic beverages to children.
