46-year-old William G. Browning of Carmi was still in custody as of Friday morning after his arrest Thursday morning on several charges related to a domestic incident.
According to information from our sister station, WRUL, and the Carmi Police Department, Browning was arrested after a report of trespassing at the Renshaw Apartments. Browning was allegedly armed with a baseball bat at the time of his arrest.
Browning was charged with domestic battery, criminal trespass to real property, and unlawful use of a weapon by a convicted felon, the police report said.
