Elm Street in Albion will be closing later this week for pavement work. According to city officials, Elm Street will close starting Wednesday as pavement work will begin. Earlier this year, the city council approved changing the surface of the street from brick to pavement to save money and improve the ride down the street. City officials say weather permitting, the work will take three days. Elm Street will be closed from Fifth to Seventh Street.
