The FFA Ag Sales Career Development Event took place recently. For the event, Edwards County members were required to sell Corn and Soybean seed from Pioneer. The team consisted of Easton Keener, Gabe Wyatt, Aiden McDowell, Chase Shelton, and Owen Lynch. In this contest, the team had to prepare a sales presentation together and answer questions, take a sales test, and complete an individual sale. The team practiced hard for this event and received 1st place as a team at the Section 23 event. Individual placings were Aiden McDowell in 1st place, Easton Keener in 3rd place, Chase Shelton in 6th place, and Gabe Wyatt in 10th place. The team advanced to the District Ag Sales event at Rend Lake, where they also placed 1st. Aiden McDowell and Easton Keener were the top individuals on the team, tying for 1st place. The team advances to the State Ag Sales CDE which will take place on November 18th.
