The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is continuing to schedule pre-bid meetings for agricultural leases.
The department utilizes agricultural leases as a tool to support wildlife populations and recreational opportunities at sites owned or managed by the agency. The leases developed under this program will promote ecologically sound agricultural practices to improve soil health, minimize soil erosion, improve water quality, and reduce chemical impacts to benefit wildlife populations and their habitats
In our area, ag lease bid meetings will be held in Jefferson County at the Rend Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area on November 2nd at 10 AM and in Crawford County at 2 PM in the Crawford County State Fish and Wildlife Area.
Prospective bidders will need to download and print the necessary forms from the BidBuy website at https://bidbuy.illinois.gov prior to the vendor conference.
