A pair of individuals were arrested in Wayne County on Tuesday.
At 10:40am, Wayne County Deputies responded to a subject unresponsive inside a vehicle at the Phillips 66 gas station in Wayne City. On scene Deputies discovered the Joshua A. Zoph of Eldorado asleep inside the vehicle. Asearch was conducted and Deputies recovered methamphetamine and a glass pipe. Zoph was placed under arrest and transported to the Wayne County Jail on a single count of possession of met.
At 8:30pm, Wayne County Deputies received a complaint about a possible trespasser inside and empty residence in Sims. Deputies approached the residence and made contact with the subject James A. Chambers of Fairfield. During the investigation it was revealed that Chambers was out of compliance with his sex offender registration and Deputies discovered Chambers was in possession of methamphetamine. After contacting the owner of the property ti was determined Chambers did not have permission to be on the property and he was placed under arrest and charged with possession of meth, failure to register as a sex offender, and criminal trespass to property
