The Wayne County Farm Bureau has announced their 2023 Impact Grants and those who will be receiving them. Fifteen applications were received for this year’s grant, totaling $27,029 in requested funds.
The 2023 Impact Grant recipients are:
• Wayne County Volunteers for Youth, “Kids in Motion Food Service Stream Table”
• Sims S.O.S. Community Group, “Window Air/Heat for Community Center”
• Fairfield High School FFA, “Floral Design”
• Hope Ministries of Geff, “Furnace”
• Mount Erie Ruritan Club, “Project Freedom/Beautification”
• University of Illinois Extension, “4-H Speaker System”
The goal of the Wayne County Farm Bureau Community Impact Grant Program is to partner with local groups and individuals on projects that will have a long-term impact in our community. This is the ninth year of the project. Almost $53,000 in grant funds have been awarded since 2014 through the Community Impact Grant program. The 2024 grant applications will be available in January.
