On Sunday Evening, an accident on US 50 in Clay County claimed the lives of two pedestrians.
The Clay County Coroner’s Office has released the names of the deceased. According to Clay County Coroner Bruce Henry, 20-year-old Bayley A. Walker and 13-year-old Bryson A. Walker of Flora were traveling eastbound on US 50 on foot as their vehicle was disabled in the westbound lane when they were struck by a passing vehicle. Coroner Henry pronounced both individuals dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
