A bill that would lift a 1980s ban on nuclear power plant construction in Illinois is one step closer to becoming law. The Illinois House yesterday passed the measure that would allow for the construction of small modular nuclear reactors. Governor Pritzker vetoed an earlier version of the legislation in August. However, Pritzker has vowed to sign the newer version.
