Media reports say two women from Flora have been charged with three Class X felony drug charges. The charges were filed Friday in Marion County Court against 20-year-old Brooklyn Rueger and 32-year-old Brittani Rueger.
Both are charged with Class X offenses of methamphetamine trafficking, meth delivery of 100 to 400 grams and possession of 100 to 400 grams of meth. They also face a Class Four felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. Both are due in court for preliminary hearings in December.
Also this past week, 57 year old Frederick Goss of Mt. Vernon, IL was sentenced to 44 years in prison on a charge of aggravated discharge of a firearm. He was sentenced in connection with a botched escape attempt from the Jefferson County Courthouse in 2021. The sentence will run consecutive to a 40 year prison term handed down in February on a prior armed robbery case.
