Governor J.B. Pritzker say it’s unacceptable that tens of thousands of Illinois residents go to sleep each night in shelters or in vacant buildings. He made the comment Wednesday at the Supportive Housing Providers Association. Illinois has given the organization 6-and-a-half million dollars toward the group’s mission of providing affordable and stable housing to the homeless.
