Unemployment Down Across South Central IL

Latest data is showing that unemployment across south central Illinois has fallen.   The Illinois Department of Employment Security reports 5-point-1 percent of residents of Marion County are out of a job — compared with 5-and-a-half percent in September.  It’s also up six-tenths of a percent over a year ago last month.Washington County has the lowest amount of unemployment — at 2-point-7 percent.
