Fairfield’s annual Christmas Parade was held Saturday with a good crowd on hand and pleasant weather conditions for early December.  The parade lasted about 50 minutes and contained around 50 entries, including floats, area businesses and churches and organizations, as well as Prince and Princess winners from around Fairfield.

Following the parade, winners were named and trophies awarded.  In the Churches and Organizations category, first place went to the First Christian Church and second place to the Fairfield Rural Fire Department.  In the Individuals Category, first place went to Sierra Nosek and second place to the Cisne Reunion queens.  In the Business category, first place went to the Fairfield Banking Company and second place to Zebra Lawn & Landscaping.  The Grand Marshal PIck and Best Use of Lights went to the Fairfield Banking Company.  Clifford Reever was this year’s Parade Marshal.  The theme of this year’s parade was “A Rockin’ Christimas”.

Santa Claus made his first appearance at the end of the parade and at Leo French Park Saturday.  The Festival Of Lights will be on display through the Christmas season.
