A teacher at Jasper Grade School last week was presented with an award of being a McDonalds Outstanding Educator.
Moreland/Bishop Group owns and operates many McDonalds locations throughout Southern Illinois, including the Fairfield, Albion, Carmi, and the McLeansboro locations. Company representative Nicole Moreland presented Jasper Grade School teacher, Laurna Diesel, with the area Outstanding Educator Award.
According to the nomination information, Diesel was recognized for her good deeds and remarkable work with her work in the community.
For being named an outstanding educator, Diesel was presented with a gift cart to McDonalds, a coffee mug that says best teacher ever, and McDonalds coupons to reward her students for their outstanding achievements.
