Wayne County Clerk Elizabeth Woodrow has released the final list of petitions that have been filed with her office in regard to the March 19, 2024 election. Petitions were due as of the close of business at the Wayne County Courthouse Today
With the petitions in, WFIW has learned that there will be 3 contested primary races for the March 19th election in the county. The races will be for Wayne County Circuit Clerk, Wayne County Board District 2, and Wayne County Board District 4.
In the Wayne County Circuit Clerk’s Race, Georgiana Fletcher is facing off with Ellen Sitzes. The incumbent, Pam Southard is not seeking re-election for the position.
In the Wayne County Board District 2 Race, it will be a 3-way battle between Andy Glover, Debra Wilkinson, and Greg Keyser. In Wayne County Board District 4, Brandon Thomason will run against Steven Manning.
