Hamilton County Clerk Heather Bowman has released the list of petitions filed for the March 19, 2023 Election. According to the list, there will be a race in the primary for Coroner as well as a pair of races for the Hamilton County Board.
In the March Primary, Robert R. Miller will be facing off with Jason D. Young for the Coroner’s position. The winner of that race is currently set to run unopposed in November.
Republicans John F. Mead, John Carrell, and Glenn E. Gelfus are running for a 4-year team on the County Board. The top two in that race will move on to November where Democrat Mary Ann Hopfinger will compete for one of the spots as well. In the other County Board race, Landon Vaughan and Ronald Winternheimer are running in the Republican Primary. The winner of that primary will face off with Democrat Vuel York in the November General Election.
Primary Election Day in Illinois is set for Tuesday, March 19th. Below are all of the filings in Hamilton County for races.
