Man Arrested In Connection to Lake County Home Invasion in Rinard

Wayne County Sheriff’s Officials and US Marshals on Monday executed a warrant in Rinard. Officials were looking for 44-year-old Carlos Kidd. According to authorities, Kidd was a fugitive on the run following a home invasion in Lake County. After authorities apprehended Kidd, deputies searched the property and found a bag that they say contained a loaded 9 millimeter handgun, zip ties, gloves, a mask, and numerous rounds of ammunition. Authorities also found in the home a loaded 12-gauge shotgun.

Kidd faces Wayne County charges of possession of a firearm by a felon and being an armed habitual criminal. Additionally, Kidd faces counts of violent home invasion and unlawful restraint out of Lake County.
