Noel Wood Thomason II, 78 of Keenes, IL, passed away at 8:40 PM, Friday, December 15, 2023, at his home. Born on January 20, 1945, in Mt. Vernon, IL to Noel and Zoe (Bethel) Thomason, he had worked in maintenance for 29 years at Wayne City CUSD #100 and did heat and air repair thru his business Woody’s Repair for 41 years. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandkids.
Woody is survived by his wife Gwendolyn Thomason of Keenes, sons Anthony “Tony” ( Gina) Thomason of Keenes and Dameon (Renee) Thomason of Mt. Vernon, IL, grandchildren Tyler Thomason, Brynlee Thomason, and Jagger Thomason, and a sister Vickie (Gene) Porter of Wayne City, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Wanda Lou Cochran and Donna Kay Crocker.
Funeral services for Woody Thomason will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, December 19th at the Wayne City Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Thomason Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Monday at the church. Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
