Rosemary Scarbrough, 72, of Sims, died at 7:54pm on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Aperion Care in Fairfield, IL. She had worked as a cashier for Red & White Grocery until the time the store closed. She then worked for a short time at Buehler Buy Low in Fairfield.
Rosemary was born on April 13, 1951, in Fairfield, IL, to Truman and Betty (Taylor) Sheraden. On August 22, 1971, she married Bud Scarbrough.
Survivors include her husband Bud Scarbrough, and her son Robert Scarbrough both of Sims, her daughter Betty (Elmer) Kemplen of Fairfield, seven grandchildren Kalica (Jared) Tebbe, Adam Kemplen, Brooklyn Kemplen, Jonathan Scarbrough, Shelby Scarbrough and fiance’ Connor Brach, Jax Scarbrough, and Seth Scarbrough, three great grandchildren Daniel Kemplen, Jayla Jones, and Willa Tebbe, her sister Patsy Musgrave of Sims, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Mike Sheraden.
Funeral services for Rosemary Scarbrough will be at 10am on Saturday, December 23rd at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Shrewsbury Cemetery in Mill Shoals, IL. Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm on Friday, December 22nd at the funeral home. Donations can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
