The Olney Police Department in Richland County is paying respects to one of their finest. Sergeant William Joshua Schlick passed away due to cancer on January 2nd. Schlick had been a police officer with the Olney Police Department, starting in 2005 and served as and had served as a sergeant for 15 of the 17 years he was on the force.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2023 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at Mt. Gilead Church in Olney. A Memorial Service for Josh will follow the visitation time at 5:00 PM at the church.
In a statement on the City of Olney’s Facebook Page, officials say,” We appreciate Sgt. Schlick’s dedication as a civil servant to this community. He will be missed by many! Our deepest condolences go out to the Schlick family”.
