Update on Lockdowns at FCHS and Center Street School

At 1145 AM this morning, Fairfield Police placed FCHS and Center Street School on lock down for approximately 25 minutes. Police say the reason was in reference to a citizen report of a vehicle traveling east from SW 7th ST. The vehicle, a silver SUV, had a passenger sitting out of the passenger window with a possible firearm. Fairfield Police and the Wayne County Sheriff Department responded to the area in search of the vehicle. The vehicle was not located. There was no report of a direct threat to the schools, the lock down was precautionary in nature.
