The Clay County Sheriff’s Office, ILEAS SRT and U.S. Marshals Service conducted an operation in Xenia on Wednesday relating to a Clay County Arrest Warrant. Around 8:30 in the morning, law enforcement in the area the wanted say that the subject fled from a residence. Law enforcement was able to locate the subject a short time later hiding in a nearby wooded area. The subject was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Clay County Jail.
As a result of this incident Christopher S. Brown, 42, of Xenia, who is currently on Mandatory Supervised Release from I.D.O.C., was arrested on a Clay County No Bond Warrant on a theft charge. Brown was incarcerated at the Clay County Jail at the time of this release and is awaiting his first appearance in Clay County Court.
