Illinois Awarding $28M For Local Park And Recreational Facility Projects

Illinois is awarding more than 28-million-dollars in state grant funding for local park and recreational facility projects around the state. The grant program provides up to 90-percent of project costs to help build, renovate, and improve recreational buildings used by the public or purchase land to be used for public access and recreational purposes. Funding is being used for projects in the city of Anna, Arlington Heights, Batavia, the Village of Crossville, Decatur, Macon County, Glenview, Highland Park, Oak Lawn, Rock Island, and Rockford.
