Rosemary (Matthews) Judge, 93, of Fairfield, died at 12:27am on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Wabash Senior Living and Rehab in Carmi, IL. She had worked at the Farmer’s Store in Fairfield for over 60 years and was a member of the First Christian Church.
Rosemary was born on September 24, 1930, in Alexandria, IN, to Arthur and Lillian (McLain) Matthews. In 1950, she married the love of her life, Ralph D. Judge.
Survivors include her granddaughter Bethany (Jonathan) Stone of Hudson, MA, two great grandchildren Madalyn Rae Stone and Gavin Brent Stone, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph Judge, a son Gary Judge, her grandson Brent Judge, three brothers Melvin, Eugene, and Robert Matthews, and three sisters Juanita Tate, Dorothy Morris, and Maxine Young.
Funeral services for Rosemary Judge will be at 1pm on Thursday, January 18th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12pm until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to the First Christian Church and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
