Ben was born on December 8, 1941, in Tunica, LA, to Benton and Opal (Anderson) Tyree. On August 2, 1967, he married the love of his life, Judith (Bailey) Tyree. They had shared 56 years together.
Ben was an avid gardener in his younger years. He loved to share his crop with anyone who needed it. He was also an outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish, and just sit outside under the tree and enjoy nature. Music was a huge part of Ben’s life, loving many different genres from blues to bluegrass, from gospel to the classics. One of his favorite pastimes was to listen to the old radio show Lum and Abner and he loved to have family and friends join in and listen with him, whether they enjoyed it or not. In his later years, he became a Cardinals baseball fan and never wanted to miss listening to a single game. Ben was a faithful member of the Jesus Name Pentecostal Church in Fairfield.
Survivors include his wife Judi Tyree, his daughter Staci (Robert) Morse, two grandchildren Stuart Morse and Lambri Morse (Josh Risten), his sister Martha Mason, all of Fairfield, along with several nieces and nephews.
