Cheryl S. Webb, 75, of Fairfield, died at 12:15pm on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
Cheryl was born on August 16, 1948, in Crossville, IL, to James and Erma (McIntire) Campbell. On February 21, 1970, she married the love of her life, Donald A. Webb.
Cheryl had been a bookkeeper most of her life, working for Webb and Son Oil and Davis Oil before retiring. She was also a long-time member of the Ellen Moore Mission. In her younger years, Cheryl was an avid bowler, bowling with a few leagues, and, also liked to play on the church softball league. In her quiet time, she loved to read. When the grandchildren came along, they were her world, and she loved teaching them how to bake and cook. She was also their biggest sports fan! Whether it was going to her four grandson’s football and basketball games or watching her granddaughter cheer and play many different sports, she was all in, either in person or watching online.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years Donald Webb of Fairfield, a son Brandon (Carletta) Webb of Fairfield, a daughter Angela (David) Lewis of Wilmington, NC, five grandchildren Lydia Webb, Connor Lewis, Blake Lewis, Cole Lewis, and Braden Lewis, a brother Rodger (Marcey) Campbell of West Salem, IL, a sister Patricia “Trish” (Kim) Michels of Springfield, IL, two sisters-in-law Joni Campbell of West Salem, IL and Teresa Dallmier of Noble, IL, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers Gary Campbell, Scott Campbell, and Rick Campbell.
Funeral services for Cheryl Webb will be at 1pm on Friday, March 1st at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to either Cancer Care, SSM Hospice, or FMH Skilled Care and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
