Jerry Reid, 84 of Fairfield passed away at 10:14 PM, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. Born on April 14, 1939, in Cisne, IL, he had been president of Southern Illinois Lumber Company.
Jerry is survived by his grandson Justin Curry, and great grandchildren Avery and Kyah Curry, all of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Reid and daughter Rhonda Curry.
Private graveside services for Jerry Reid will be held on Monday, March 11th at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield. Memorials in his honor may be made to St. Jude’s and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, which is handling arrangements.
