Fairfield Police and Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputies on Saturday arrested an Evansville Woman following a traffic stop in the area of Casey’s General Store on South 1st Street. At 4:11 PM, authorities halted a vehicle operated by 39-year-old Melissa K. Wiltshire. Officials say the stop was initially based on a motorist complaint of reckless driving. A further search turned up that Wiltshire was wanted on a Vanderburgh County, Indiana warrant for a petition to revoke probation. Wiltshire was booked into the Wayne County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Vanderburgh County.
