The Fairfield City Council met Tuesday evening for their first March meeting.
Aldermen approved an expenditure of $318,000 to paint the west water tower. The successful bidder was Tricoat LLC from Pacific, MO. The tower was constructed in 1993 and has not had any exterior work completed since then. The contractor has 300 calendar days to complete the project.
In the only other agenda item, Mayor Gary Moore read a proclamation proclaiming March as National Athletic Trainer Month. Sarah Turner, LAT, ATC Director of Athletic Training Services & Athletic Performance at Wabash General Hospital, was present to accept the proclamation.
