The latest survey from the Illinois Education Association shows significant support for Illinois teachers. The results of the association’s State of Education survey show 74 percent of Illinoisans surveyed believe teachers should receive their full pension because they do not receive social security payments. Researchers say the figure rose by six percentage points over last year’s survey. They say those who believe pensions for teachers should be cut totaled less than fifteen percent.
