Reba Lorraine (Monroe) McCulley, 76, of Wayne City, IL passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. Reba was born on August 22, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, IL to Charles Berthel Monroe & Goldie Mae (Howell) Monroe. On December 31, 1966 she married Ronald Dean McCulley, who survives.
Reba was a homemaker and a member of the Wayne City Christian Church. Reba always put her family first. She loved being a housewife, working with ceramics, and crafting. She enjoyed walking, and traveling with family and friends. She loved going to the beach, and camping at the campground. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a big fan of Elvis Presley.
Reba is survived by her husband Ronald Dean McCulley of Wayne City, a daughter Angela Hedden (and husband Rocky) of Wayne City, a son Brian McCulley (and wife Amy) of Mt. Vernon, IL; a son-in-law Todd Lowery of Wayne City, 6 grandchildren: Jake Gregory (and wife Amanda), Blake Gregory (and wife Jessie), Brittany McCoy (and husband Brandon), Meghan Wilkerson (and husband Austin), Maddie McCulley (and fiancé Hunter Voyles), and Masyn McCulley; and 8 great grandchildren: Olivia Gregory, Alaina Gregory, Cooper Gregory, Kase Gregory, Remi McCoy, Lilly McCoy, and Royce McCoy.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles & Goldie Monroe, her daughter Melissa Marie Lowery, her husband’s parents Columbus & Lois McCulley, a sister-in-law Millie Long, and brother-in-law & sister-in-law James & Georgia Isle.
Funeral Services for Reba Lorraine (Monroe) McCulley will be held at 1:00 p. m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City with Brother Steve Griswold officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. on Friday, March 15 at Young Funeral Home in Wayne City. Interment will follow the funeral service at Bovee Cemetery, north of Boyleston, IL.
