Illinois is the least tax friendly state in the country. MoneyGeek conducted the study that revealed the dubious distinction. The personal finance site calculated the tax burden on the average citizen. Illinois also ranked 50th with the average annual property tax set at about nine thousand dollars. The state that’s considered the most tax friendly is Nevada.
