State public health officials say levels of the respiratory virus remain flat across Illinois. Meanwhile, cases of COVID-19 continue to fall. Health officials say the flu season can last through May, so residents are reminded to take precautions against catching the flu. The state public health department is also endorsing the CDC recommendation for adults 65 and older to take a booster shot for COVID.
