Illinois is heading in the right direction as the end of the flu season approaches. The Department of Public Health revealed Friday that respiratory virus levels across the state are trending down. Flu season typically ends in May, and officials say fewer people are turning up in the hospital because of it. COVID hospitalizations were down 20-percent by last week.
