Carl Richard Drake, age 67 and resident of McLeansboro, IL, passed away at 7:50 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2024 at his residence. Carl was born May 1, 1956 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Charles Richard Drake and Ruth Ann (Eckel).
He was employed as a truck driver. Among many other interests, Carl loved cooking and BBQing. He acquired a Degree in Culinary Arts while living in Florida.
Carl is survived by son Justin Drake of McLeansboro, IL; a sister Mary Catron and husband Jeffery of Conway, SC; Niece Robin Dean and husband Nate of Gallatin, TN; Nephew Daniel Catron and wife Kelly of Myrtle Beach, SC
Preceding Carl in Death were his Parents.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 19 at Harre Funeral Home, McLeansboro, IL with Pastor Jacob Gray officiating the Service. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon with the Memorial Service held at the funeral home at 12:00 noon.
